LoveClip V3.5 Cleverly Blocks Mandatory Copyright Information and LoveClip Logo

Amazing Release of Love Editing 2020 Edition!

Don't want forced opening and closing credits? Okay, here comes the Love Editing logo and the mandatory copyright information that will be added to your video at random moments!

As a versatile video editing software that is popular among the masses, Love Editing has always been known for its ease of use and powerful features. For video editing beginners, Love Editing is indeed the preferred software for editing videos.

However, Love Editing made a der move in 2020, releasing a brand new 2020 version and implementing mandatory software updates and mandatory login settings.

In the 2020 version, the long-standing mandatory opening and closing credits with the Love Editing logo can finally be customized and disabled.

But a new little brother has emerged - personalized exclusive copyright information.

Seeing that the mandatory opening and closing credits have finally been removed, I wanted to shout "Love Editing is awesome!" But the reality slapped me in the face.

Alright, in the 2020 version, Love Editing has changed from "mandatory opening and closing credits" to "mandatory copyright information." Many netizens feel that "mandatory copyright information" is even more outrageous because it is randomly inserted into several videos you export. Moreover, if you want to remove the Love Editing logo from this copyright information, you have to purchase the Super VIP membership.

For personal use, most people wouldn't mind too much, but I do mind. So, I began my search for a cracked version of Love Editing V3.5.

Contrary to my wishes, even the most famous cracking website, Wuaipojie Forum, didn't have a cracked version of Love Editing V3.5, only an expired V3.0 version! (I wonder if it's because of copyright issues that they dare not release it?) But as mentioned earlier, Love Editing 2020 has implemented mandatory updates, rendering all previous versions unusable. And the results on Baidu are all offering downloads of V3.0 cracked versions or official original versions under the guise of V3.5 cracked versions.

Taking Action#

Since seeking help from others didn't work, I had to find a way to crack it myself! (I am very grateful to a user on the Wuaipojie Forum for their reply to a certain post, which gave me some ideas. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the original post as this blog post was written on the second day after cracking.)

The cracking process is quite simple: replace the built-in copyright effects images in Love Editing with transparent images to achieve the effect of not displaying them (transparent = not displayed 😁).

After a simple search, I discovered that all the copyright effects images in Love Editing are stored in MediaEditor\AuthorEffect.

Individual copyright effects directory structure (using the "Passionate Brilliance" effect as an example):

So, all we need to do is replace all the images in the Background and logo folders with transparent images. However, Love Editing is indeed powerful, as all the files in these directories are encrypted.

image-10

What would happen if we directly replace them with empty files?

image-11

This result... Just when I was about to give up, I suddenly noticed:

image-14

image-15

The sizes of the first six and last five images seem suspicious?

I verified it with an MD5 Tool, and it basically confirmed that these are encrypted empty frame images!

Since that's the case, let's get started!

Replace all the images in the logo folder with this encrypted empty frame file (make sure to backup before replacing):

Now let's try exporting a video and see the result!

image-20

It works!

Following the same steps, replace all the images in the background folder with the encrypted empty frame file (make sure to backup before replacing):

It's important to note that the author's name is dynamically generated during video export, so you need to find the corresponding image in the text image directory within the project directory (e.g., D:\ME20200420101247\TextImage) and replace it. Additionally, most of the files in this directory are unencrypted and can be directly replaced with regularly editable image files.

Perfectly disabled!

Tips#

During the export process, Love Editing automatically verifies the files, so you may encounter three of these message boxes.

image-23

The first one appears in the second step of exporting the video: selecting the personalized exclusive copyright effects. It appears after clicking "Next".

image-24

The second and third ones appear when you start exporting the video.

The second and third ones seem to be verifying all the encrypted files in the selected copyright effects directory. I'm puzzled as to why they need to be verified twice in a row.

image-25

However, this also makes it convenient for us to completely disable the copyright information.

After clicking the "Export Video" button, two of these message boxes will appear. After closing the first one, you can find the corresponding author name image in the text image directory within the project directory (e.g., D:\ME20200420101247\TextImage) and replace it. After closing the second message box, the video export will officially begin.

Conclusion#

There was a significant element of luck in this cracking process. If I hadn't accidentally noticed the sizes of the files in the directory, this cracking attempt might have been abandoned halfway.
